Who can open which door, when, and who checked.

Access control decides who can enter your office, your server room and your storerooms. Done well, it is quick for staff, simple for reception and gives you a reliable record of every entry. Done badly, it leaves doors propped open, cards that still work months after someone has left, and logs nobody trusts.

We design access control around your spaces and your people: which doors need control, what credentials suit each area, how visitors are handled and how access is removed. Controllers are placed on the network, integrated where useful, and documented door by door.

How we deliver it

Every project follows the XTSURE Assurance Lifecycle. For this service, it runs in four stages.

  1. Map doors and users

A door schedule showing every controlled door, its hardware, fire requirements and the user groups that need access.

  2. Design the system

Credential types, controller placement, cabling, power backup and integration with attendance or directory systems.

  3. Install and enrol

Hardware installed and tested, access groups and schedules configured, and users enrolled with your admin team.

  4. Verify and train

Each door tested for entry, exit and alarms, and the administrators trained on adding, changing and removing access.

What you receive at handover

Documentation is part of the work, not an extra. Every item below is handed over in an organised pack your team can use for years.

  • Door schedule and access matrix
  • Controller and wiring layout
  • Access group and schedule configuration
  • Administrator guide
  • Door-by-door test record
  • Backup and recovery procedure

Common questions

Something else you want to know? Ask us directly.

Can access control connect to our attendance system?

Many access platforms can export entry data to attendance and HR systems. We confirm what your current system supports before recommending an approach.

Are biometrics a good idea for every door?

Not always. Biometrics suit high-security rooms and places where cards get shared. For main entry doors with heavy traffic, cards or mobile credentials are often faster. We recommend per door.

What happens during a power cut or fire alarm?

Doors are designed to fail safely. Controllers have battery backup, and doors on escape routes release when the fire alarm activates or power is lost, in line with the building's fire strategy.

Planning a new office, an upgrade, or better support for what you already run?

Tell us what you are working on. We will ask the right questions, look at what exists today, and come back with a clear recommendation.
